Graphics

This unit covered the following learning aims:

  • understand the applications and features of digital graphic products
  • design digital graphic products
  • create, test and review digital graphic products
I've always had an interest in art, especially in the digital world, but more in terms of pictures, drawings and such. And as I never really did any digital art, besides Microsoft paint(where masterpieces have been made), I was quite excited when I found out I was doing graphics this year for one of my learning units. But I was a little discouraged when I realised how complicated it can get with things like pixel size and resolution but the more I learnt the more I realised it's nothing more than a few extra instructions to help you make a design digitally. And when I started making them, I realised that its actually quite a fun thing to do.

Doing Digital Graphics also helped me understand that lots and lots of products you see online are made and designed in a way to captivate the consumer and draw them into clicking or viewing the product and potentially buying it. And majority of products you see nowadays in everyday life or ads or posters also have these small methods made for you to get captivated by it.
