This unit covered the following learning aims:
- understand the uses of spreadsheets and the features available in spreadsheet software packages
- design a spreadsheet
- develop and test a spreadsheet
- review the finished spreadsheet
This is my spreadsheet assignment. This assignment helped me learn the basics and uses of having a spreadsheet, particularly for businesses or schools as they can help store and keep track of information and look for anomalies or particular sets of data and the varieties of it.
Before starting this unit, I'd hardly knew what a spreadsheet was and thought it was just a nonsense bit of software made by Microsoft, because why not, but as I learnt what the uses and benefits of a spreadsheet were (and how to actually use one) I realised how good and useful these can be in life and everyday society.
For this unit, as a class, the first ever assignment we did was make a PowerPoint which went though the features and function of a spreadsheet. And as I mentioned earlier, this helped me realise the benefits of a spreadsheet and why so many use them.
